IMG_1914.jpegI have a Memera 2000 ad fuse box. 5 yrs ago it passed the Landlords electrical certificate but now I’ve been told it has failed. The reasons are: the bathroom light is a pendant and the other reason is that the light is connected to the left side of the circuit box and it needs to be connected on the right. I understand the light fitment did need changing and so I’ve now fitted a new IP65 light fitment. Have the regs changed over the past 5 years and does the bathroom light now have to be wired into a seperate fuse on the right side as I thought this was an advisory not a fail.

Did they also point out the non compatible mcb and blank plates.

Depends

Is there sufficient supplementary bonding in the Bathroom?

If you move the Lighting MCB over then all power will be lost in the event of the RCD tripping which isn't ideal. Also the Smoke Detector is on that circuit and you don't want that losing power with an earth neutral fault on any circuit. It looks like the downstairs lighting was moved over at some point and the labelling was not updated.

There is also the points Westward made.

So the parts above sort the issues highlighted, you just need to sort some suitable blanks.IMG_0718.pngi think this is the right one and you will need 3 of them.

Cheaper to get a whole new board than those add-on pods….. and it’ll come with an SPD and be metallic.

The thing with EICRs is that it is totally up to the engineer doing the report as to how strict or lenient they want to be.
You could have a slew of C3 notes, which would bring a satisfactory outcome, but if one of those is raised to a C2….. which means “potentially dangerous” situation, would make it unsatisfactory…. And “fail” the report.

I have to agree can't see the sense in spending that much on this board.

So many benefits of a new board compared to the configuration of this one, it is what I would go for.
