Yes,I’ve done it.

Not noticed any speed reduction, just the lack of start button and the taskbar icons being set to the middle.
Reminiscent of how a Mac displays the icons.

Is that the windows button? It was removed in Windows 8 and then quickly brought back in Windows 8.1 - think they had some mad notion that everyone was using touchscreens and that setting laptops sup like tablets was a good idea.

I'll do the same as always and let others find the bugs to determine its usefulness.
 
Well, correction. It does have a start button…. Just not in bottom left, and not got “start” written on it.
It just becomes another of the taskbar items.
 
My PC isn't compatible, although I did build it around 15 years ago so might be time to upgrade again...
 
Yeh fifteen years ago will mean no TPM module on the motherboard so no, not compatible. I had to buy the TPM module separately and set it up before mine was compatible and the motherboard is a new version!
