I Dont normally do it but today i did , extension lead we spotted badly damage and said surly they dont use that . Walked to the van and when i got back i got the answer yes they do it was in use , or should i say Did, snips out and cut the plug off , behind the picture are petrol oil and diesel drums all covered in fuel Not very clever Phenoix 003 - EletriciansForums.net

They could just put the plug back on and keep using it. Should of cut out the damaged bit as well

It was scrapped I i issued a danger notification on it just to cover my butt, it had 45 cuts in it, exposing the inner cores three of which exposed the live conductors, over a 25 meter length , make it worse appart from the fuel , just in front of the cable in the picture was a steel work table , i gave them a new extension cable the following day
 
was it SWA you gave them?
 
It was O PVC JZ SY cable oil and petrol resistant , dont think it will last long not in the environment it was in , now Ive sorted out the earthing and installed a new RCBO on the circuit it should be better , I cant control the usage or environment but hopefully provided a cable that will improve the safety
