Morn chaps,i know there been a lot of discussion on temp/permanent supplies 2 portacabins, jus done a pir test on a couple, they r supplied wiv 6mm 3c swa,of tncs supply, each cabin as its own rcd db.My problem is the main bonding conductor sizes, the main intake is a biggy,1600 amps & the main bonding is a 50mm cable. Now if they r using the tncs supply do they need 2 comply wiv a 50mm earth bond, & so does not comply wots your thinking. Why on earth, didnt they tt it,seen lots of instances like these, cheers.Jus another quickie, regarding above, when installing a new sub main wud this also apply,ie main bonding conductor size.So if installing a sub main from the same intake,a 16mm 3c protected wiv a 63 amp mcb would this also not comply.unless a 50mm main earth bond was also instaled wiv cable.Bye 4 now

Do me a favour and put your questions in bullet points or something like that, its just i dont quite know what your asking. If its portacabins just look at section 717 in the regs.

Need more info TBH.

Lots of possible scenarios here, such as type of building & use, location of buildings, construction of buildings etc etc.
