Hi,

I have moved into a house with a huge kitchen which has 12 Luxna spotlights about 3 years ago. Over time the spotlights have been failing and it's quite expensive to replace them as they are a sealed unit. My question is, can I replace all the lights with normal (change the led bulb when it goes) spotlights with the existing wiring? I'm assuming that one will lead into the other so could it just be a complete swap?

Thanks in advance.

I never fit integral LED downlights for this very reason.
Yes, it should be possible to do as you say, using (preferably) fire rated GU10 downlights. Check the size of the hole in your ceiling, and try to find replacements that use the same size hole.
Some designs of downlight have connection boxes designed to be more electrician friendly than others.

Thanks for that. Im not sure why they used them. Can you recommend a brand to use or just any which are fire rated and the right size hole?
