Hi,

I've recently bought a flat and have done away with the old storage heaters that were fitted. I was pretty set on replacing these with Dimplex Duo Heat storage heaters and the panel heaters to match until the electrician came round last night and suggested Rointe ones. Its a top floor flat and its usually warm enough whenever i go in.

I've had storage heaters for the past 4 years and they havent been all that bad, warm enough in Winter and not really much issues.

I work through the day so am typically out the house for 9-10 hours a day, I guess the only bad thing with the storage is the fact I'm not getting to use this heat generated.

I am currently on economy 7, just looking for an opinion on whether i should fit storage or opt for the Rointe. i would only be fitting 2 storage, 2 panel and 1 towel radiator.

I've been going round in circles reading different reviews so any thoughts would be much appreciated.

TIA

I started a thread about the rointe heaters a while back, very positive feedback from lots of people,do a search and you should find it.

I have fitted quite a few rointes they seem to do a good job programmable so you can control everything. if you get them get a remote control its worth the extra cost. no complaints from customers as yet . also shop around as prices vary vastly from suppliers . the rointe site has a break down of the alleged savings compared to storage heaters give it a look

I've fitted a bungalow replacing storage heaters with similar looking rads from "the economy radiator company" - they are of a similar price, maybe a bit cheaper in quantity - but I was impressed with them, just plug into a socket with standalone and/or remote programming options.

I have Dimplex quantum fitted. I work in Electrical wholesale and this system really is the dogs nadgers.

Hi, does anyone know how these Dimplex Quantum are fed and how the renewable energy bit fits in?

Dimplex quantums strike me as being dual storage/convectors in sheeps clothing. Wrap up a load of old technology and give it a shiny new badge but you can't polish a turd! I've fitted a fair few and remain unconvinced.
