Heard on radio tonight. Happened at around 5pm.
From BBC News
Suspected gas explosion. So expect a rush of "safety" improvements throughout construction industry.
We hear of a gas explosion on the plumbers and gas engineers forum about once every 2 months. They've never rushed any safety through, ever. Unfortunately.
They'll try and find who was last to inspect it. And try and see what they can make of it. But unless somebody in the building was messing with it themselves, they wont really find much. Never do.
Last one was a shop somewhere and the flat above was being fed off the shop gas somehow. Wasn't meant to be. Blew the shop and flat up. I'll try find the thread. No thing comes of them I'm afraid though.
I'll keep tabs on this one if I can to see.
