So what make does everyone use. Also are the combination ones actually any good that have the 1.5 and 2.5 strippers in them or have they a short life span.

I use Knipex Baz and they have been great for 2 years now. I was going to change to CK combicutters but have heard that they wear too quickly. Also, not much leverage when using on 10mm T&E

yep knipex all the way, just bought i set of the cutters with 3.5 screw cutter bending anvil and stripper for 1.5mm and 2.5mm

not impressed at all, will stick with my knipex from now on.

Its got to be Knippex. The ck ones with the 1.5 and 2.5 strippers are pretty poor its a struggle to get a clean cut on the cable with them

yeah got a good set of 200mm knipex pliers and they seem to be good. but need a new set of side cutters and i was looking at either the 180mm or 200mm high leverage knipex ones, now its a choice of weather to get insulated or not, as at the min i never work on live stuff and not sure weather they'll be too bulky.

Use the Bacho ones, but does anyone remember some 'beautifull british tools' by the name of Elliot and Lucas ? A bloke I once worked with had a pair of side cutters that had lasted (he claimed) for years. Are they still available ?
