has anyone come across daft names for equipment etc thats made you laugh

The power station im working at has the twinspot em lights written down as 'frog eyes'. never heard that before!

Yes I have heard those lights called Frog Eyes too.

Many moons ago I had a car that was known as a 'frog-eyed Sprite'. Maybe it originated from there.

On my first day of apprenticesip, i was sent to get a flange coupling and brass bush, i stood there laughing thinking this is a wind up your not going to make a fool of me (i am very smart i know about about long stands, sky hooks and stripey paint), a minute later a flange coupling with brass bush bounced off the back of my head and i realised i may not be as smart as i thought.....
