Yes serious, there is a program called skint which is around at the moment, keep an eye out for it mate and maybe the thread will make sense afterwards.

Yeah I like benefits street as well Marv lol, this new program called skint is similar but a bit more comical, I bet it could start a debate thats why I posted this, It seems the guys here probably haven't seen it yet, I await their thoughts when they have chuckle.

What is it about?

Similar to benefits street really, but with prostitutes and **** heads claiming dole money, oh and druggies actually taking drugs whilst talking to the camera, it is life for people on the dole in Grimsby.

If it's the same programme I'm thinking of they've already shown one series.
As the name suggests it's about people who are skint - going about their lives living hand to mouth, going down the cashpoint at midnight to check if their dole money has been paid into their account so they can charge up their electric key, pawning their X-box then buying it back every week. There was some guy who decided the time had come to bite the bullet and get a bar job. Unfortunately he hadn't prepared for it at all and tried to ad-lib his way through it - when asked what his strong points were he said he was smart and well presented, when instead of wearing a shirt and tie like everyone else who went for the interview he wore a sweatshirt featuring Brian from Family Guy.

Having worked in Grimsby for a landlord who owns a lot of houses with doley tenants, I can say that this programme is not an accurate representation of the area...... In reality its much worse !

Half naked kids using a burned out car as a playground. A tenant inviting you in to the bathroom to fix a light, the floor covered in human **** and them not batting an eyelid. Properties torched after the tenants tried to bypass the meter. Properties flooded after the tenants scarpered in the middle of the night having ripped out all the copper pipe, smashed up every item of furniture in the house for good measure. Totally horrific place.

To be fair, there is a housing estate like that in most major towns or cities, and alot of other areas where there local communtiy has lost its industry leading to high unemployment.
