Some time out

I am going to take a break from the forum after tonight for a while.
There are numerous reasons, none of which are dramatic but I have a few issues with the content on the main forum, nothing to do with you guys and what happens in here.
I love being part of this section but I just need a break, I spoke to Paul about it a couple of weeks ago but I didn't want to disappear during the competition mainly due to the fact that I had quite a few of the prizes at my end.
I am also snowed under at work so I will be putting in some long days to get down it all.

Glenn we understand mate. Most of the long timed served members on this forum have taken time off for their own reasons, myself included. The forum can take up a lot of our own personal time away from family, friends and work. Just do what is best for you.

Some members have asked for a "holiday" aka 1 or 2 week ban so they cant log on. A line is through their name on all their posts, that does not sit well with me on a member with your stature. Admin can change your password if you request it so you cant log on. Up to you. When your ready to come back, just give me a call. Ok that is the serious side of things, I will say this......

Glenn have a break, sort out work and enjoy life away from the forum. The intricacies of this place can run deep and you have put a load of time and effort into it. Have a rest mate but PLEASE COME BACK!

Uncle Glenn, I tip my hat to you Sir, always have and always will.
 
Wow Paul didn't expect that and don't think I deserve such praise, but it is really kind of you to say it.
You know me away from the forum and know how much I love the place, so it will be hard to stay away, the work that you,Sintra,Marvo and tazz do on here is incredible and you all deserve a medal for putting up with us lot.
I love this section but out on the wild west ( main forum ) it is getting bad, full of silly questions by people who should know better and then comes all bickering amongst regular members.
Long live the Trainee section!!

Me and Tel work well together so you have a bit of time off and dont worry about this place. Tel has been my Mentor from when I first signed up. He will give me a slap if or when it's needed lol.

You're a great addition the whole forum(apart from your pesty habbit of changing quotes damn you) we'll struggle on without you until you come back but we'll be here waiting when you've rested and recouperated... Well caught up with work and took a break from us looneys at the forum :willy_nilly::willy_nilly:

^^^This is why the Trainee Section was set up^^^

A selected few members were hand picked to become Mentors. Look at what we have all built up? Not a single post has been reported in the Trainee Section for bad comments etc etc. WOW.

Glenn your a big part of this so dont go running off for good please. People with good hearts are hard to come by in this industry at this level. Lets give those that need it a chance.

Glenn if your interested I can change your access permissions (temporarily) so that you only have access to the Trainee forum, 3K club and arms. That way you don't see any of the general forums.
 
@ Sintra. Good call. Let him sort his world out and we are all here to welcome Glenn back.

Take a holiday mate, I know how hard you have been working. (no ban, leave his account open)
 
I can also sort out your settings so you get an email notification, phone call, Skype message, Facebook notification and hot air balloon with a large banner under it flying past your house everytime ********** or **** makes a post ;)

Have a good break, hope it's not too long.

Bloody breaking point of a Kitkat. It's been pretty boring without you GMES... Nothing particularly interesting in the trainee forum. Hasn't quite got chaotic just yet give it some time ;)

i wa sgoing to say mange, but thought moth-eaten was nicer.
 
Maybe it's just the way the light reflects off your oversized dome shaped head but I think your coat might have got shinier after your weeks holiday. Good to see you're still around ;).
 
that shine is radioactive dust from where he's been working.
 
Not been on much myself GMES, started a small shop rewire which has been a nightmare, ask Doody Toody. He has been with me the past couple of weeks and has seen how complex the job can be. Changing this shop from single phase to 3 phase, talks with national grid, talks with N power, talks with the meter installer, cable run through two other shops plus a communal hallway. Access has been a real problem.

After work I just cant be bothered doing anything lol. I will make the effort to put some time into the TS.
 
Same here Paul work wise I've been working this morning 8-11 then sneaked up to driving range with Darrel for a couple of buckets and can't complain I managed to get a round of golf in yesterday afternoon.
I've just been asked by a customer if we will work during Christmas, you can Guess my reply!
So we are now booked up till January and that's without any more breakdowns coming in.
 
It's good to hear you guys are busy, we're also booked to April next year and beyond and we're turning work away almost on a daily basis. Suits me fine, we get to cherry-pick the jobs we do and the customers we work for.
