sound fields

Hi guys I am confused to want sound field I should be using on my sony 5.1 home theatre system?

When I'm watching blurays I don't really get the 5.1 effect ie explosions behind me etc....

Fields are

2ch stereo
A.f.d standard
A.f.d multi
Pro logic
Pro logic II movie
Pro logic II music
C. St. Ex A
C. St. Ex B
C. St. Ex C


Any help guys will be ideal, cheers
