Hello all. First time poster here.
I've been asked by a neighbour to install an outside wall mounted light for their back garden.
I've checked then other side of the wall in the kitchen. In line with where they would like the fitting placed, are 2 switched fCU's. One for the washer and one for the dryer.
My plan is to spur off of one of these at 2.5mm twin and earth to another switched FCU with a 3 amp fuse and then from there 1.5mm via pvc conduit through the wall and then up to the lamp fitting.
As it is permitted in the regs that you may take a switch fused spur from a single or double socket, does the same apply to treating either of the existing FCU's as a socket and then carrying out the work?
Cheers all.
