I little slightly related story.......about whisky.
You know I'm a Scot , of course.
The missus and I had a long weekend in Dublin a few years ago. We did, as one does, some of the touristy things.

This included the Jameson distillery.
The guide seemed to take great delight in extolling how smooth the triple distilled tipple was compared to the Scotch version.

How I wish I'd done my homework prior to the visit! I might just have knocked the wind out of his sails.

John Jameson, who established the Dublin distillery and, after whom the brand is named, was a Scot.

I think the Scots should be spending some of the Barnett formula "gold", on upgrading the A9 so its a dual carriageway, to Inverness and beyond

We paid for them to have a referendum in the hope they would agree to leave us but alas it back-fired and didn't work out as it was supposed to. They've decided to stay with mother England. Just pray that a backroom deal hasn't been struck for them to be integrated with our football or rugby teams ......

This is sadly true, having had a posted link removed in the past (for which I had to agree with to be honest) only to see it allowed from another member, I know first hand! ---- happens!!!
