well, at least it says to call a qualifeid electrician if in doubt. what do theyh advise if the faulty socket is in the bathroom... call a plumber???

What they forgot to say was it may be a burnt off neutral at C/U. Socket still does not work, none of the sockets work so pointless turning of power because it is already off!!!! Lets play around with it!! But TBF as Tel said if in doubt..........

But as the saying goes, a "little knowledge............................"

In the end, it was the snapped live core that was the surprising culprit :blush5:

what they also forgot to say is safe isolation procedure....god, do they think this only applies to C/Us/dis boards?...
 
I like that after removing the socket you should "give the wires a wiggle" to see if they are loose.
