saying that if you trust your lads, let em have a bit of slack you get more out of them
shame common sense has gone out of fashion. i say employ good lads, trust em to do their job, accept they are gonna do some things they shouldnt and some things they wanna keep secret and let em get on with their job!
guys aint just work horses, they have loves, lives and needs. sometimes they come into work hours. live and let live, have a bit of fun with the guys and share a bit of banter, they respect you then alarm man
It's their phones they have the right but if your doing nothing wrong what does it really matter. I think everyone should be chipped and everyone have it in different places then no more missing people what a saving in policing and stops child abduction.

you know, if you go to saltaire in bradford..(the model village that Titus Salt built for his workers)....theres some round towers there....these towers survay the whole of Salts fiefdom...including the residential areas , streets n all that......a bit of victorian `big brother`..lol....There's strength in numbers here mate, get everyone to switch their phones off at knocking off time and back on at starting time, when they ask why this is happening tell them straight. This might be enough after a few weeks to force a climb down but you all need to be doing this if you're the only one doing it you're the one who will be down the road at the first opportunity
a couple of weeks ago my other half was given a personal tracker in the form of a keyring, he was told while at work he had to keep it on him at all times, apparently it communicates with the tracker in his van, he has wrapped it in tin foil and put it in the van ash tray!
Micro management stinks!
Or drop it!!!
And take a dump!

I wonder how many people are tracked in the UK? I think it is a growing number.
Is the tracker on the phone or on the sim? If on the phone then could put the sim in another phone, I think I'd try playing games with them as much as I possibly could if I was in that situation.![]()
Da is abising yor right under section8 of the european convention on human right man
Article 8
Article 8 protects your right to respect for your privacy and your correspondence – monitoring of emails, telephones conversations and internet usage, the use of intrusive CCTV footage or vehicle tracking devices, or subjecting you to searches or to drug or alcohol testing, may interfere with your right to respect for your private life. However, it is important to note that most of what you do at work will not be considered part of your private life – the question will be whether in the circumstances you should have a reasonable expectation of privacy. If there is an interference, this does not necessary breach your Article 8 rights, as this right is not absolute, and interferences with your privacy are permitted if they are justified and proportionate.
Yes in the usa thay have a fadds agreement that lots of workers are coerced into agreeing not to smoke or drink even at weekends - it could come here if we don't all grow a pair
could be difficult .... xx

Is this not something that a workers union should get involved with? Im assuming that you work for a large company if you have an I.T department. Im against liberties being gently eroded under the "if you have nothing to hide its not a problem" I wouldnt trust a government department, let alone a profit driven private company with sensitive data, at present there are precious little restrictions on how secure the information is kept...
