Cypriot kit as you put it, is based on UK regulations and fittings, not DIN/VDE and Schuko fittings. Mind you may find that stuff over on the Turkish side of the border!! lol!!

The lack of a safety mechanism shielding the Line and Neutral until the earth pin enters the third hole and lifts the shutter.....
