Hey guys,

Im from Newark in Nottinghamshire and dying to get back into 'the game'.

I havent updated to the 17th edition. Mainly due to the cost of the course.

So all I have is 16th edition. Now does this make me an improver?

Many thanks

Steve

i think that the time is ripe for you to go to college and get on the C&G 2357 that will be running this year.......do it all properly like....3 years sounds like a long time..it aint...has flown for me so far..but if you enjoy the subject then it will for you n all......and think on....what you will get at the end of it.....i would think you`l have more chance of employment with a practising electrician n all...if at college.....

Be nice to have £7500 that the course costs to be fair. Good idea tho, but I dont think I would be willing to go back to basics which to me it sounds like you are required to do?

well i would expect that a chat with one of the lecturers would clear that up.....as to wether you had to start at level 2 year 1.....go and have a chat with several local colleges to see what funding they may have access to and if you would qualify.....and also have a chat with the lecturers who will be able to accertain wether you would benefit from starting from scratch or wether they deem you advanced enough to start at ..lets say level 2 year 2.....which would put you slap bang in the middle of AC theory......

Yes Im aware i can do the 17th edition update or full. I just started this post, to find out what I would be classed as, on the electrical ladder so to speak.
As I am looking for electrical work, but obviously cant apply for electricians jobs as im not up to current standards. So didnt know if I would be classed as 'mate' or 'improver' thats all
