Just tested a flat no cpc to lights and switches , so on the report class 2 etc etc but the people are selling and there are 4 metal light fittings which are now pendants but I know from what's been asked and hinted he will put the metal lights back up nothing I can do to cover myself

Just did a test on a flat but no cpc to the lighting so took down the 4 metal lights , there are 7 in total , and put up pendants . The flat has just been sold. Though from what's been asked hinted I know they will put the metal fittings back up ! Anything I can do to cover myself ?

Yes put the metal lights back up before you get prosecuted for tampering with someones electrical installation.

can an I just ask why you carried out work on top of the EICR.

I would have issued the cert with the appropriate comments with an invoice and would have walked away.

i put mine on the inside of the lid so you only see em when you hinge the lid down.

Nothing better than a brand new board on show covered in p@@sed labels

Whacking a sticker on the CU cover, stating that circuits ? & ? have no provision for earthing and that metal fittings shouldn't be used, wouldn't hurt either.

To what end? There are already plenty of stickers on CUs which get totally ignored by everyone and eventually fall off leaving a mess.
