Discuss Why is it so quiet??! in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

LOvely and busy ... One job that will last me 3-5 months so cannot complain ! There is money out there for sure . But many are greedy and think we all can charge what the Eastern bloc want cash and dont care about the rules etc . Stay away from clients like that .

When interest rates were cheap people thought nothing of banging another £50K on the mortgage at 2% and building an extension. Now its 6%+ they have to think really hard about committing to that sort of payback over the next 20 years. They are probably hanging fire to see if rates come down again.

I'm in Devon, it's non stop here. I'm currently working 6-7 days a week. We've been lucky not to have slowed down in some years.
I think location sometimes has NOTHING to do with it...you are either in demand or not .This is down to either you not "networking " or your clients not doing the"networking " for you . OK,,,in the middle of nowhere things can be tough .But in most big cities things still seem to be moving well ?

Always busy (as much as I want to be based on a 4 - 5 day week).
Sometimes booked up for just the week, sometimes for 2 months. Always somewhere in between.
