Hi all,
I was just surfing though the internet when I'd thought that I'd see if there are any forums on WW2, a subject that I happen to know a little bit about. Anyway I found one with the exact same layout and formula as this one. So I've been checking up on it every now and again.
However I began to notice something very very sinister about it. It is as pro-fascist as a BNP/NF website.
Anyway I thought that I'd ask the question; and enquired as to where are all of the brits - as the forum seemed to consist of Germans and Yanks. So I posted a question asking why, if the Germans were so good in the war they couldn't invade us, and I asked the Yanks to explain how it is that they managed to win WW2 all on their own without us (and a lot more besides that I won't bore people with). Twenty minutes after my post, I've got banned!!!

just seen the post, ken, whilst trolling around. i've a fair knowledge of WW2 as well. i like your comments , it's obvious the forum is run by germans as we all know, germans don't have a sense of humour.

Type in ww2 forum on google, when results come up it was one of the top 2.

Ok its not the type of forum to mess about with. It's not just stupid yanks on there blowing their own trumpet, if it was it would be an open target, just like we were for 2 years whilst they were building up an army.

Like I said mate, it was one of them forums that I hung around on the edges of dipping my toe into on the odd occasion. And to be fair there was some top rated stuff on there, but if you troll though, you'd definately pick up anti-British slant (in my opinion). Its one of them forums that married men troll though, ie missus and kids asleep and you're bored!!!

However for anyone who is interested in the naval conflicts of WW1 and 2, then check out a forum called uboat.net. Extremely professional site, and full of knowledge. I don't know enough about the war at sea to even make an introductory post on that forum. But it is an excellent forum for naval enthusiasts.

Its not just me with an interest in ww2 then!! As I have got older I have begun to realise the bravery of the men who fought in that and every other war. When I see the old servicemen now I am filled with respect and humbled to be in the presence of men who have shown more bravery and seen more horror than I could ever begin to imagine.
Our service men out in afganistan and everyother conflict we are involved in deserve our utmost respect regardless of our political views on the British involvment
