Does anyone ever use the wagos for RFC? I get they can hold upto 2.5/4.0. But are they rated for RFC's?

The lever type are rated at 32a, the non lever only 24a. Ideal do a similar product that are all rated at 32a as far as I'm aware. Wago do a larger connector too for 4 or 6mm cable.

Got some 'free' in a set of assorted Ideal 'in sure' connectors, I'm very wary of trying them though as twisting cables together seems a bit dodgy to me - then again I've seen hundreds of the old porcelain 'screwits' in JBs over the years which haven't gone wrong- all on lighting though. These new 'twisters' are allegedly rated at 41 amps !

Haha! I seen a sparky who is now working for the same guy i used to subby for using them, they looked awful, twisting your conductors together then screwing one of them on, watching was nearly painful, i like my terminations neat, they are far from it!

These new ones do have a metallic insert which is also serrated to give a good connection Tel, still not convinced though.

A good electrician can make a sound connection with almost anything. However, given the choice, a good electrician will choose a proper connector rather than a wirenut. These things have been setting fire to stuff in the US for years, not sure why we need to start doing the same over here.

Like most of the other replies I too really like them.

Just beware the fakes. I made the silly mistake once of buying them on eBay (never, ever again) and they were clearly of a poorer quality although looked nearly identical.
