The English language is mostly derived from French and Scandanavian languages, with a smattering of words from other languages.
For example, beef from boeuf(French) and cow from ko(Danish/Swedish) or ku(Norwegian).

Why dont you mind your own business Pete. I have fitted it today and it works ok. Thing is i wish I had ordered a bit more cable as theres a line on the mirror that does not get condensation on it. The cable runs behind it (magnetic or summat dunno but it works?????) wish I had run a coil behind it now.

I would write a letter to the store manager explaining what happened and the implications of it. Mention the words 'Fire risk' and 'parts recommended by a <insert store name here> employee' in it. Daz

I WOULD write the letter and send it to WATCHDOG - WHAT a *ANKER is that expert

Not funny really but it made me smile all the same, I was at the OS this morning, just idling away 30 mins, as well as having a burger.
Thought I would mosey up the electrical isle for a laugh, there was a young couple in deep conversation withe resident expert, couldn't help but eavesdrop, apparently the couple had bought a new shower, and him being a bit of a handy man was going to fit it himself, won't go into details but expert man flogged the a 25 m coil of 2.5, a switched spur and a back box as well as a 30A junction box, well I thought I will wait till Mr expert left and, politely approached the couple to try and put them right, maybe get a shower job out of it, but no luck got told to eff orf, (they were rather posh) they will do what the expert said, and would I kindly mind my own so to speak.
Tried to speak to someone in charge but got no joy there either, shouldn't be allowed, hope matey finds it so difficult to do that he will call a sparky, was going to give my card but thought better of it
Probably didn't help drooling from the mouth, trying to look up the young ladies skirt, whilst clutching half drunk bottle of cheap plonk. I normally sit on the bench, and shout abuse at the passing traffic.

Well after reading that, i have come to the conclusion that both the so called expert and the man buying the incorrect materials are a pair of, ignorant, ill informed, muppets lol.

Hopefully No one gets hurt or worse.

I don't know what it is but I kind of secretly enjoy going down the electrical isles in shops, loitering about, then I but in when people are looking at stuff. I have picked up a couple of jobs by doing that.

Never mind about this shower, are you not aware of the terrible danger you are putting yourself in with this irresponsible drinking? According to the latest figures, you should only drink 14 units a week, and a maximum of 3-4 a day.
What a load of........

You could try walking home using a zimmer frame after stalking people in the DIY store. Shout abuse at the traffic, whilst swigging your plunk. Someone will call the cops, and they'll give you a lift home. Saves on fuel, & lets you start your day early.

Anyways, back on topic. There's no helping some people, like this ex Italian POW; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOwven0Rt94

As a parting shot in the circumstances Pete I'd have told them to check the manufacturers instructions that are in the box with the shower, would have proved you right. :book:
