The NICEIC recently changed the rules that didn't allow a Domestic Installer to do EICRs under the NICEIC logo.
Any Domestic Installer wishing to be put on the NICEIC PRS EICR register will have to undergo an assessment to see if they qualify.

I’m pretty sure NAPIT are the same, unless you’re an approved member with 2391 you have to have an assessment.

I think it’s wrong that letting agents are dictating that you have to be on a scheme in order to carry them out though.

Yes because doing EICR are really challenging?
 
The guy never said it was because I was only a lowly Domestic installer, even so I have years of experience and have City & Guilds in Enitial & Periodic inspection, happy to be inspected but not twice.
