I was on the Wirral so my gaffer asked if I could swing by a pub as the landlord doesn't think the water tank is properly supported.

So I goes into the abandoned flat and ogle the surface conduit, bakerlite switches and wooden pattresses.

Then remembered the water tank.

Stuck my head through a hole in the ceiling and saw this little treasure.

So what makes the landlord think it’s not supported properly?

It definitely NOT supported properly!

Ask if you can keep the table though - even if you sell it they are worth a bit!

Seen the old plastic pattress boxes used as recessed boxes quite often , but rarely do you find a wall built over the socket
simple. the builder got there first, before rthe kitchen fitter built a cupboard over it.

It’s a diy disaster house. Turned his hand to plumbing, joinery, ufh, sparking....

the kitchen walls here are plasterboard on top of wood panelling.

Hope that copper table is bonded ?

Only kidding before anyone starts.

You only need airtight box's in modern house's with stud partition walls, not needed in an old farm house with solid stone walls.
