Relocating refrigerator outlet

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if it is illegal to move fridge power outlet from behind the fridge to the side, of course by an electrician. My fridge is quite huge and having power outlet behind is going to take up a lot of space, hence wanted to move to the side. Your advice is crucial. I can make an arrangement with an electrician afterwards.

It's fine to move a socket outlet.

IMHO, if anything should be illegal it's having a socket outlet behind an appliance.
