Don't know enough about computors to know whats what, but you can get a 7 inch laptop from Maplins for about £120.
At the other end Apple Macs /Apple products are top notch but quite pricey

Ah

400 notes might buy you a second hand MAC. Must admit, its all i use now, but they are expensive.

Have a look at the Dell website.

You can spec your own laptop to fit your budget.

By the sounds of it, you should get a decent one for around £400

pc world do a dell machine 399 and if i go to dell for it its 428

Does sound a bit odd.

Maybe the Dell one has a delivery charge included?

Still, if PC world have got them, sounds like that could be the way to go!

PS just seen the advert on tv.

You can even choose a funky colour:D

Why are we up this ealy on a bank holiday ? anyway ive got a Lenovo 0769 which was recommended to me by our IT teccy, it is the old IBM rebranded, cost just under 500.00 but will last a lifetime if looked after, its fast robust, has 4 usb ports, card reader, bluetooth and wireless internet, i have used it on site and in office for over a year with no probs

I gots me a 3 year old Toshiba Equium A100. Brilliant machine, as good as anything out today speed and memory wise.

They probably dont make em anymore but it's Toshiba for me.;)

I have been building Pc's and Macs for years and would always advise on buying a Mac, They cost a bit more but are so much more reliable FACT: for every 10000 crashes there are on a PC there are 0.9 crashes on a MAC also there are thousands upon thousands of virus on the PC whereas there are 2 yes 2 Virus on the MAC and they have both been cured

Hi,

Just looked at the spec and the price, you did well getting that kind of spec laptop for that price. You cant go far wrong with deals like that... If ever you have any probs, give me a shout and I will try and help... Later:)
