Electric oven cable size

Browsing to buy a new electric oven. I came across a Hotpoint with a rating of 10.7 kWh. I calculated that would need a 16mm cable! Surely not? I multiplied by 1.25 as when it's on its a continuous draw. Thoughts?

After some practical experience

I came across something new today. When I removed the main earth to do ze the rcbo tripped. Put the earth back in and it's fine. Can anyone explain what is going on?

That's really interesting our college said that only EAL do a computer based exam. This was c&g and was a national exam date. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope tonight's exam goes better. Thanks for reassurance guys.

No it is still two 2 hour written exams. Only multi choice on computer.

I'm feeling pretty fed up to be honest. The annoying thing was the rest of the paper was quite easy. No calculations at all!

i took my 2394 exam tonight like a numpty I drew a tnc-s when they asked for a tN-s I did describe that it was terra neutral separate earth and still drew the wrong one! Anyone know if that's a definite fail for the whole exam. It was a 15 point question so I'm thinking I'm screwed!
