    240v door hold backs

Stair lifts working fine and power to the spur feeding that. Nothing going across to relay which must be linked from around that area. I'm thinking it must be a spur fuse that has gone but wasn't sure if the feed normally goes to the relay on these circuits using the interface to release the relay.

    240v door hold backs

Am I right in thinking thou that the supply has been lost from the stair lift supply and the relay? It may be the case as no one knows any location of isolators to renew the supply to the relay. Stair lift is near the interface and relay in a cupboard which was a struggle to fine.

    240v door hold backs

Yes defiantly 230v as I have checked the door magnets when I first looked earlier. None are staying open on ground floor the first floor is fine but that's from another circuit on a consumer unit in first floor. Am I right in suggesting that the supply will go to relay then interface will...

    240v door hold backs

Yes diffent job funny enough for the same chap thou. He asked me to take a look at a care home down the road. found the relay and interface for the ground floor closures but no voltage on the relay. Mcb on board is on and working fine but as we don't do much fire alarm work was trying to map...

    240v door hold backs

The 240v door release circuit has stopped working. I have found the interface for the ground floor and a relay next to it but no voltage prescent. Would the supply come straight from the door closure supply at the consumer unit to the relay? No one seems to know the system set up or location of...

    Fire alarm

Aico said they don't do psu but the relay base can be feed from a 24v supply which would then allow the magnetic door holders to work of the base. This is the only way I can see how it can work from the details he's given me

    240v door hold backs

with an addresiable fire alarm system with a 240v door magnetic hold backs would the supply be taken to a relay then linked to the interface to release the power to the relay cutting to door mags?

    Fire alarm

So would you say using the aico with relay base then a separate psu for the kitchen door only is the best way to do it?

    Fire alarm

I'm only guessing it's to prevent evacuating residents is the toast is burnt etc

    Fire alarm

He says in another care home he's got they put a smoke in the same as his plans shown. The only way I can see doing it would be via a separate psu and aico relay base.

    Fire alarm

Only thing I thought was to use a aico relay base so if smoke goes off will release the door magnet. Only thing I'm not sure on is shouldn't all the fire doors close off the fire alarm circuit and doing this wouldn't release the kitchen door with the rest of the doors on the fire alarm. Also...

    Fire alarm

I'm not sure it has a heat alarm but asked for a smoke which is not linked to fire alarm. I'm guessing that means a mains power aico smoke to release the door if it sound rather than setting the fire alarm off with false alarms. Not sure if that is correct if anyone has any ideas would be...

    Fire alarm

hi all any help would be appreciated. Been asked to sort out a smoke alarm which is linked to the kitchen door but not to the fire alarm. I have attached attached a photo of the plan he gave me which states linked to door not fire alarm circuit. He has a 24v over door magnetic holdback which...
