Joining 25mm Tails

Hi Guys, Have replaced a 2-tier MK board in a restaurant today, but the 25mm tails are set solid in the wall with no hope of renewing to meter elsewhere. They are too short and I have temporally joined them with 60A connectors. Anyone got any ideas of the best/neatest way to extend...

16mm and 25mm tails on same install ???

If a new consumer unit is fitted with 25mm tails from isolator switch to consumer unit should the 16mm tails from the cutout to the isolator be changed also. Note that the isolator switch has just been fitted with new 16mm tails. Also should the 10mm main earth be changed to 16mm by the supplier?

Meter Tails...!! 16mm / 25mm

Hi, Going to be doing my Elecsa Assessment soon and house i have chosen to do the work on is a TNCS supply 6 way board with excellent access!! :) currently it has 16mm tails from meter (located about 2M away on ouitside wall) earth is in 16mm and bonding is 10mm so not to bad! however...

25mm tails to big for Shower unit ?

Hi folks. Just like to pick your brains for a minute. The other day I had to fit a 63a 30ma (50a mcb) shower unit for a customer having a new shower fitted who didnt want a new consumer unit (old wylex board). Split the tails with a henley block but what a job connecting them in the unit. They...

hello there i've been squabbling with my pal about two supplies we have to put in for somebody. edf are putting in new meters and we have to supply 2x 2 bed flats i reckon you have to run 2x 25mm swa cables to each flat. (very difficult route) my mate reckons you can run a 25mm t&e to each one...

Meter Tails 16mm 0r 25mm

Talking with a collegue today regarding meter tails.I went to look at a c/u change 80A main head on 16mm Tails i said should be 25mm but he said 16mm was ok 25mm for 100A main head. Whats the word out there with you good men ? Cheers :)

running 25mm tails

Hi can someone tell me what the best way of running supply to cu from distributors supply if the run is more than 3 metres apart,as i have been told that you can only run 25mm tails no more than 3 metres,Thanks
