    Industrial Cooker Cable Size

    Installing a 3 phase cooker with 6kw on one phase, 6kw on the second and 3.5kw on the third. The instructions recommend using flex. In BS7671 I'm using Table 4F1A, page 292 and therefore need 6mm flex. This sounds a lot for 26.1 amps on each phase. Am I being dumb? Also can anyone recommend...

    cable size for 2 x 6kw fryer's?

    Hi all, can anyone tell me what cable size I should use for 2 x 6kw fryer's which has a run of 20 meters, it's been a while since I had to work these out and have got a little rusty so I used an online cable size calculator which gives me 4mm- is this correct? Any help would greatly appreciated!

    I have a 25m run with the cable being clipped to a wall. it will be an swa. the md is 83.04A. i'm having a brain meltdown day and in need of a little reminder of how to do this. my brain is telling me 16mm 3c swa would be fine.

    Is there a tool or way or determing the size of a cable if you have no information? (eg. 25mm earth) Sometimes it can be tricky to know the size of a cable by looking at it.

    can anyone explain why if you spur off the ring to a f/c/u the spur must be 2.5 to supply a 1.5? when would the rating exceed that of the 1.5? is if f/c/u potential change to socket the only reason?
