Plasterboard fixings for light fittings....

I know it depends on the weight of the fitting, but in general, will plasterboard fixings hold the weight of a fitting? Obviously better to put a noggin in between joists but not an option. Cheers

Fixings for roof brackets

I'd be interested to hear what types of fixings people are using to secure their roof brackets. We have been using 8 x 80 Spax screws but aren't entirely sure what 'industry standard' is.... that is if there is actually a standard.

Plasterboard fixings

I have one of these wall hung electric fires to fit for a neighbour of mine. It is a case of moving off the old dimplex type heater and simply mounting this one. The problem I have is that the wall it is to be mounted on is a metal stud (C channel) and the new one weighs 13kg. All other heaters...

A good cordless for light fixings??

Cable fixings on exterior brickwork

Hi all, I have to run a cable down part of a brick wall and have had limited success with cable clips in masonry. Aside from swapping the nail for a narrow screw and driving into plugs, anyone recommend any cable fixings designed for outdoor use? ie- uv resistant. Planning to use 1.5mm Hi-tuf...
