hello every1, i want to put a extractor fan in a shop kitchen, the easiest method from looking at the job would be to come off the cooker switch with a fused spur and power the extractor fan this way. its only a small extract fan, ive not bought it yet so i would say its no more than 1-2 Amps...

Is it permited to add a fused spur feeding an outside light from an unfused spur from a ring.
I know its ok to have one unfused spur from a ring.
The setup is as follows:
RING ----- Unfused spur --------- FCU -------- Outside light.

Need some points clarifying with regard to adding a fused spur outlet to an existing household ring.
The ring and in fact the whole house is not 17th - ie: no rcds at all.
If I'm extending the circuit to include a new spur outlet am I right in thinking that an rcd will be needed...
