Hello,
Called to a friends house that had nuisance RCD trip and would not reset, upon arriving I traced the fault to a single switch very close the the sink in the kitchen, they had just tried to use the switch as an FSU and terminal blocked the cables there because they was apparently too...
I know that there are many views concerning this, but is it really worth running a separate supply to a boiler which needs a 3A SFCU anyway, or just come off the kitchen RFC?
I normally do on MCB setups, but with a full Crabtree RCBO board, the inconvenience factor is already very low.
Would...

how do I get on an offshore oil rig? What certification and qualifications do I need? Is there a list of relevant companies or recruitment agencies? All the job ads seem to indicate that I need at least 2 years offshore experience, how do I obtain the experience?

Hi,
I'm currently wiring an outside oil boiler and have sited a FCU on the inside wall with a 2.5 t+e to an adapt box and from there, a braided flex to the boiler.
Does it need a rotary switch instead of the adapt box?
I'm about to do an mains change later this week, and unsure if i need to bond the oil fired boiler or not. Its a bosch worcester greenstar, installed around 2 years ago. From the outside plastic oil tank theres an copper pipe running 4/5 meters undergroundto the house. The boiler is getting its...
