    anouther pir question

    Did a pir to day and found the shed was fed from a 16 mcb in the fuse-board in the house then wired in swa to a rcd in the shed then to a socket. Now this doesn't feel right but cant find a reason why not you can isolate the socket by using the the rcd locally or at the house the cables...

    schneider overload

    I have fitted a schneider overload with bracket so its free standing no starter. I fitted it straight out of the box so its on auto when I pressed the stop button on it my motor kept running, is this normal or have i bought a faulty overload.

    I want to fit a stand alone 3ph overload to a 5.5kw motor its wired in delta (guess that doesn't matter) can anyone tell me what size of overload I should be fitting. I have been advised to fit a variable set at 13A mark. I think thats quite low any comments will be appreciated.
