I have a couple of large jobs coming up. I quoted for them 3 months ago and among other work they both incorporate a board change. Can I wire both jobs to 16th edition still (jobs are in July) or must I now complete to 17th?

I would say you would need to work to the 17th as you have not started them yet.
you could always "say" you started them prior to the 1st of july.
but why not just work to 17th, time you save with bonding and cost of materials would surely cover extra for the board

Why would I save time and money working to the 17th? I have already bought the splt load board.

as you allready have the ccu if you wanted to do the job to 17th ed you could buy a couple of rcbos and use them on non rcd side, just a thought.;)

I don't know enough about the 17th yet. I sit my course and exam on Thurs. Think I might just do the job as per 16th as I could always say I 'designed' the job before 17th ed came in. Think that will suffice?

Cirrus if you have alreadty bought the board then you have designed it prior to 1st July, you are enetitled to install to 16th

there's gonna be fun when this "designed before july "clause runs out !
wonder if i can find a way of using up some old RYB i got in the garage .....
