Hi all, hope you can help me.
I am trying to redesign a control box for an agricultural trailer. The circuit diagram is shown in the attachment. The switches arranged in three's in a box are actually ( I think) double throw, centre off momentary switches, it says Bulgin S782 on them at the moment, and 240V 10A.
When one of the switches is flicked, it operates one of the outputs (represented by the bulbs shown on the lower left) AND the 'Dump' also signified by a bulb. (The outputs are actually hydraulic valves).

The open / close in the top middle is for open / closed centre hydraulic circuits.

What I would like to do is to remake the box with 2 joysticks to make it easier to use, could any of you recommend the best way of wiring it, or any suitable joysticks please?

It would be helpfull to know how the hydraulics system works ie what sort of control is required

It would be pretty straight forward using a small PLC

The hydraulic system is just a series of valves. There is a constant oil flow, going around the implement. When one of the switches is activated, the 'Dump' is activated, diverting the oilflow into the rest of the valve block. The other output from that switch activates another valve that causes cylinders to move.

Will try and draw a diagram

Hope this helps. Note two outputs per hydraulic valve. Two or three outputs can be selected at once, the system runs on 12V with a 15A fuse, the switches currently fitted are rated to 10A at 250V. Unfortunately I do not know the current rating of the valves but 3-4 can be operated at once.

EDIT: The valves need a simple on and off, the switches need to activate an output and the dump at once - the original switch does this automatically.

there are lots of joysticks on the market but obviously you will need to select one that will switch in a manner that makes sense to the valve arrangement, the wiring shouldnt be a problem would most likely be using relays as finding a plc with a 12v dc power supply would be difficult
