Hey guys, I've recently installed aftermarket head unit Alpine IDAx303 in my Holden Commodore VZ all was connected successfully apart from Antenna wiring which seems a bit difficult for non electrician background.
See photos for the diagram which shows the stock stereo system connections and how it was connected to the antenna.
I could simply make it work with switch but would be happy if antenna could go up only when radio is on and go down when its switched to USB or the engine is off.
I hope its clear what I described.

i know this is late reply have you sorted if not just connect antenna to rem or amp cable usually blue.
or put a multimeter on to pin outs of radio and switch on and off you should find a out put that is +12v when on.

I had this same problem a few years ago, the way that system worked was when the unit was ON the antenna was UP, it didn't matter what you were listening to,CD, Radio or USB. My way round it was fit an inline switch on the antenna feed from the head unit. It worked perfectly.
