All the money we pay for these books and what not, you would think that the IET would be able to find a printing company that could actually print something with a bit of quality.
Below is my OSG and I must have had it about a year now, and well that big white splurge on the left is not a flash mark, it is where the green ink as rubbed off and is now like this, and as you can see the right hand side is on it's way as well.
Be nice if someone from the IET, who I'm sure use this forum would look at this and see what type of quality they are producing

I scan my books and create a pdf for my handheld or laptops

When i am really fed up with them (ie updates and more costs) i may even create a torrent of the publication hehe

I've had the same with my OSGs. I don't get on with the spiral bindings either.
Now I'm not expecting hard backs, but given the poor quality of the cover of the regs book they may as well not have bothered - put it in a bag (for example to take it to college) a couple of times and you can almost guarantee the cover will be creased and curled up at the edges.
Read the reviews for GN3 on Amazon - the biggest complaint seems to be that after a while the book just falls apart. My 2391 teacher had punched holes in his and had treasure tags though them; you shouldn't have to do that with any book.

Dont be silly they are designed to fall apart so they can do an ammendment and sell you a new one different colour of course
