I am getting an Anderson plug outlet put in Mitsubishi Triton to charge 100Ah deep cycle battery in a camper trailer. The Auto Electrician wants to put in an isolator; however the camper trailer will be disconnected from the Triton when I'm not driving, or running the deep cycle battery, so surely there is no danger of running down car battery. Is the isolator an unnecessary expense?
