So far potential candidates (or however you want to call them) are:

Harvey Group
Graham Group
Braham Electrical
JR Electrical Contractors Northern Ireland (this one rings a bit of a bell)
Blackbourne Mechanical and Electrical
Phoenix Electrical Services Northern Ireland Ltd

What sort of electrical work did they carry out for your company ,Domestic, commercial or industrial
Maybe that will start to narrow it down a bit
But it is most likely they were sub contractors working for some of the large companies

PS the rest of you behave yourselves ,before we send Paddy,Mick and Seamus over to sort you out

Why do you think they were most likely subcontractors.

Because that's how the world works.

I mean what about this situation makes you think they were most likely subcontractors? Is it the distance between NI and South-East England?

I may be completely off the mark here but isn't hiring sub-contractors more expensive than letting your own employees do the work(sorta like agency staff vs your own staff in other fields)?

88 posts long and we still don't even know the type of job that this contractor done. Surely your father can tell you that much :)

I might have mentioned this in one of my previous posts but we're not that close and we don't speak that often...

It was most likely industrial/commercial and not domestic though.

Question: Do companies tend to list ALL their work in the portofolio/projects section of their websites? I've been looking at the websites of some of the companies I think might be it (Harvey G, Graham G, JR Electricial Contractors NI, Blackbourne Mechanical and Electrical, Phoenix Electrical Services NI Ltd, Braham Electrical) to see which ones have done work in the South-East of England in that period.

They might update it every so often, but usually only to highlight new technology or a special high pr project, once you have a good portfolio you don’t really need to do regular updates.

Each list projects from at least 10 years ago until present time..... the dates between which they worked on them is shown....I'm just wondering if they list ALL their projects or just the biggest ones.....like if none are listed for that period does it definitely mean that there weren't any. Take a look at this for instance (click on the projects in order to see the dates):
