does anybody know when an apprentice electrician gets a pay rise? I'm not sure whether it is 18 or 19..

If everyones pay within the electrical game was based on performance, im sure it would give the industry the kick up the a r s e it needs!

There is a national minimum wage for an apprentice under the age of 19. it's something like £90 - £95 a weak for a 40 hour week and then it goes up to the minimum wage for a peron under 21 after 19.

it depends on company as well.

when i first started was on £30 a day flat rate.

thats any day for however long was at work.

£90 a week during 1st year, then if you're 19+ and in your 2nd year it's 4.6X (can't remember exact) then 3rd year is minimum wage and anything after is up to your employer. At least that's what I remember from reading up on it on .Gov like a year ago lol

My rate was £4 2s 8d for a 40 hr week but providing not late on any day during the week we got an extra 10s it went up each birthday until I reached age 21 then was on a whole £12 8s 6d although they then called it £12 42 1/2p
