Have looked at the grand cherekee fella, the new ones are great, 5 years warrenty etc, but the older versions have very bad press regarding the on board computer, if the warrenty was 5 years I would go for one, but a second hand one will have 6 months at best and 20k will only get me a 2014 with 40k on the clock so a no go.had a shogun. was a diesel guzzler. 24mpg. look at Jeep Cherokee diesel.
Very good questions, cheers, well it is for towing my 2 ton Caravan, taking my dogs out to shows/ events, carrying waste etc to the tip, driving in Snow which we see a lot here, and carrying me the wife and probably 2 passengers. What are you looking to use it for , and how many people do you want to fit in it ?
Each to their own . Got to admit it does look trick !I'm thinking something like this https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201807098291350?model=SHOGUN&price-to=20000&radius=1500&make=MITSUBISHI&price-from=14000&transmission=Automatic&postcode=gl33hr&advertising-location=at_cars&year-from=2013&sort=price-desc&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&page=1

You need to look over your shoulder next time you walk past a mirror, Spoon says Diane Abbott is like Naomi Cambell compared to you........that RR evoque is the ugliest rear end i ever seen (apart from diane abbott).
Yep agree, but I have looked at one and the boot space is small, I have 2 dogs who need space in the back, the SF is too small in the back and I am not sure of the towing ability Lee.Hyundai Santa-Fe? Could prob pick up a premium SE on a 16-17 plate, under 15K miles with still 3-4 years warranty left on it.
Out of interest what year?I have a Subaru Forester. Love it to bits.
Neighbour has a non Hybrid Lexus they do look like great cars and will outlast a RR.Lexus 400H - 3.3 petrol / hybrid. 30 to gallon, goes like **** of a shovel, loads of torque, good in snow. Have had one from new (2008) 160k on clock and so far the only issues I’ve had is normal wear an tear on brakes. Over engineered for US market I’m told.
The 450H is the current guise and slightly bigger. No idea on used prices but they have been out a few years now.Neighbour has a non Hybrid Lexus they do look like great cars and will outlast a RR.

For 20k I would look at the Range Rover evoque. If you could stretch a bit further then I’d look a the Jag F-Pace.
You got divorced, thats a real money drainer......... I feel your pain ;o))))I'd been considering buy a Discovery Sport (when I used to be rich ).
However it would seem they (and the Evoque) have a nasty little design issue, oil dilution with their diesel engines. So I wouldn't touch a used one with a barge pole.
The F-Pace, which has a similar engine, doesn't have the issue as the engine is not mounted transversally.

lol, you bought a house for your 23 year old Romanian boyfriend........ ;o))))Don't be an arse, I'm not stupid enough to lose money that way

Get a 2011/2012 4.4l V8 diesel V8.
A pal of mine did just that...lovely looker, went well, not as bad on fuel either...
It's recently come out of Landranger, having had a complete engine, and will have to run faultlessly, for 20 years,to justify his expenditure
We have touched on this topic before, and i'm not a hater me first ever vehicle was a series 2,and i have done plenty of messing with all the models, accepting that individuals issues, are not the full story.
The RR/Disco story, from 15 years back,is one of the emperors new clothes, style over substance, and forceful PR campaign of sponsored promotion. But with design flaws, toy like quality of components, inbuilt maintenance obstruction and exponential depreciation,it has lost my vote...
The TDV6 story,is a case in point. If you bought a new house, you would not expect to encounter issues with gutters, windows, etc, but if you did,and to repair or replace them, you had to take down the outer skin of brickwork, then build it up again, would you be impressed?
The last person this happened to,was me pals father in law,and the vehicle was 3 years old...so no warranty. What did it cost new?
Three times the cost of a property i have, near to Mcr centre....
That can't be right...
