borrowed neutral

Sorry for this dumb question....
What would be the easiest way of testing to see if you have a borrowed neutral?

Disconnect neutrals in cu and do a continuity test between neutrals?

My apologies in advance....

sorry for the short answer earlier ;with continuity you're trying to prove which circuit /s the neutral is on .

never checked your profile so i assume you know what i mean !!

so if you disconnect all neutrals at cu then connect on neutral of upstairs lights and neutral of downstairs lights, thats how to find it?

If you are concerned about a possible shared neutral to the landing light from the upstairs circuit switch off all the lighting breakers with the landing light ON.

Disconnect the downstairs live and the upstairs neutral, if you have continuity between them you have a shared neutral somewhere.
