Has anyone come across this regulation. We have been pulled on a job about it, it is basically saying 'that to maintain the ingress protection of the equipment provided under the contract ie IP54 especially where the enclosure wall thickness is less then 6mm, a sealing washer or thread sealant will be required to maintain the IP rating of the gland.
Now i may be being completely nieve but i have been in the trade for over 16 years and this is the first ive heard of it.

Can anyone else say the same???

Thanks for your time.
