Does anybody know what the BS number is for an old style switched fuse isolator with side lever containing rewireable fuse? Would i be correct in saying that these do not classify as a 5419 bs number?

Nope way way older than that. I'm talkin' big metal isolator with porcelaine fuses and side lever.

Old school switch mate can't quite remember the exact type though but look on google images come up with a few styles

according to the BSI shop website, bs5419 came in, in the late 70's; it replaced BS 861: part 2: 1972 which replaced BS 861: part 1: 1955. i tried a quick image search but didn't find much. have you got a photo?
