Agree I won't work for builders, always direct for the customer. Had too many jobs go south when the customer falls out with the Builder and you end up out of pocket through no fault of your own!
 
First couple builder whO I did some small jobs for like small extensions went okay I got paid ( eventually )

Then I got my fingers well burned on a re-wire of an old house into a massive HMO. I had re-wired around 6 rooms all with ensuite then the builder and client had a massive fall-out, Builder got sacked Job got mothballed I got nothing. probably around 700 quids worth of materials and around 3 weeks of my work just gone
