Discuss CCNSG, EAKRING and BESC training? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

[SUP]I'm seeing a lot of jobs online that are asking for these tickets at the moment, I know what the CCNSG ticket is and I'm thinking of putting myself through it, But from time to time they're asking for the other two as well... Any idea what they are? Usually it's for work in power stations so my ECS card isn't enough to get me on site.

Just wondered which one would be the most beneficial as I doubt I could afford to do all of them at once. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Eakring is the theory course to get "person" accreditation to work on National Grid electrical substations, and BESC is the ppractical test. You must have both to work on EHV substations.

There is work on substations as a spark but I find it's cliquey, and difficult yo get on jobs. Even the agencies prefer (in my experience) to hire people who know eachother.

Ok thanks, I'll bare that in mind. Best get saving just in case though, by the sounds of it I'll need the lot.
