Discuss Choosing a transformer in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi all. I'm building up a battery charger for some specialist equipment so need to start with a transformer. This will be used both in the UK and on the continent. Is there any risk in using a 380V to 24V tx in the UK if there is the chance of feeding in at up to 440V? Thanks...

Welcome to the forum :)
Why don't you get a multi-tap TX and it can be adjusted as per local voltage, also I take it you are fully knowledged in how batteries charge up and the requirements to protect them from overheating, overcharging etc?
