had similar last year. quoted to repair 4 street lamps on a park homes site. priced £150 for a cherry picker, plus 4 hours, plus materials.. customer refused quote. heard 2 weeks later, he'd got a guy to do it for half my quote, using a ladder. ladder slipped, sparks broke left leg and right arm.

And a visit from the HSE and a possible court case

there is and always will be somebody to take the risk for the money,if only they worked out £100 for job,6/8 weeks laid up no money,my maths is not great but i think i'm right on this one.

Ever thought about those strap on stilts the plasterers use? Mind you 6 Mtrs, 2 Mtrs for your height so 4 Mtr stilts. Love to see a video of you using them. Lol

It's ok for you TC. You can jump 10 times your own height and simply hang on with your claws...

Now that would be a sight.. a cat at the top of a lighting pole complete with toolbelt :)

Hope that guitar of yours has synthetic strings and not CAT GUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! iv'e gone all feint thinking about that!

oops, just dug out my old tennis racket. the strings have got fur on them

Helping a mate out last year and he had to go to the top of a telegraph pole to fix catenery wire, only had a ladder so up he goes. I had the ladder braced at the bottom with the strict instruction "to push it to the right if it slips" that way he'd end up in the duck pond and not the tarmac, not sure what health and safety course teaches that particular technique lol

You can relax TC. Catgut strings are made from farm animal intestines, predominantly sheep these days (tho originally any form of "cattle", hence the name).
There are some interesting videos on youtube for anyone interested in how the intestines are processed :)

Enjoy your Lunch guys....
